(Remembrance Day)

Remembrance cruise

Willemsvaart offers a free remembrance cruise on the morning of 4 May.
Departure at 11:00 from the Central Station boarding point
(PAXhaven means “harbour of peace”)
Opposite Prinsessegracht 4.
We sail to Dierentuinbrug, where flowers can be laid.

A guide talks about the war and its impact on The Hague along the way.
The cruise, including the laying of flowers, takes 30 minutes.

Remembrance at Madurodam

Willemsvaart offers a free boat trip to Madurodam on the evening of 4 May.
Departure at 18:30.
Start at the Central Station boarding point (PAXhaven, “harbour of peace”).
Opposite Prinsessegracht 4.

We sail to Madurodam, where the annual remembrance ceremony takes place on George Maduroplein.
The cruise takes 12 minutes.

(The trip is free, but please book because boat seating is limited.)

A return trip after the ceremony is available, departing at 20:15.

Thursday 14 May: Sunset Cruise – special edition

Special sunset cruises on 14, 15 and 16 May 2026.

Departure from Hooikade at 21:00.
The cruise takes about an hour.

Small and relaxed, with stories about the city and unique views from the water.
